Armstrong Energy Corporation began operating in 1982 with a successful well completion in Lea County, New Mexico, and has since participated in over 600 wells across several states and is the current operator of nearly 100 properties. It also owns non-operated interests in more than 400 other properties and holds more than 80,000 acres of leasehold interest. We continue to enhance our operated properties through drilling, workovers and re-completions, as well as through continually increasing our operational efficiency.
In order to achieve continued reserve replacement and growth, Armstrong Energy Corporation utilizes a mix of exploration, development, and strategic acquisitions. Utilizing the newest technology, as well as traditional methods, the experienced technical staff, in the areas of engineering, geology and land, is devoted to generating and reviewing high quality prospects, reviewing possible acquisition opportunities and evaluating other geological areas for exploration.
